Sponsor the WordPress Cape Town Meetup group

Let’s face it, 2020 was a hard year. We had to learn to work from home, host meetups online, and find out what it’s like to live and work with our significant other/family/pets 24/7.

Wait….sorry, what?….it’s 2023 now? Oh. *cough*

Ok, let’s try that again. It’s a new year, filled with new possibilities. And of those possibilities is brining back in-person WordPress meetups!

But we can’t do it alone. While meetups require organisers (which we have) and speakers (which we can find) they also generally need a venue, which costs money. And as a volunteer-driven meetup group, that’s not something we can necessarily always cover.

In the past, we’ve had some amazing sponsors who’ve helped us with paying for the venue and any refreshments, but with no meetups, for the past 3 years (!!! has it been that long) we’re now looking for new sponsors.

What does sponsorship give me?

If you choose to sponsor our meetup, here’s what we can offer in return.

  1. You will be listed (with your company logo) as a sponsor on our meetup.com page
  2. We will also list you as a sponsor on this website.
  3. You will be allowed to have a discrete banner and provide some swag at a side table at any of our monthly meetup events that you sponsor
  4. Your company will be thanked at the beginning and/or end of the event for your specific sponsorship, and attendees will be invited to check out any swag you may have available.
  5. You are also allowed to have a representative of your company at any events you sponsor, in case there are any questions about your company
  6. We will thank our sponsors by tagging them via our social media platforms, generally after the event.

And finally, you will be helping to foster the WordPress community locally, which means more WordPress users, and therefore more potential clients for your WordPress product.

How can I get in touch?

If you’re a WordPress-focused company, or a company that supports WordPress related products, and you’d like to get involved in sponsoring meetups, please use the form below to get in touch.
